The Creed Legacy (The Creed Cowboys #3)
Rough-and-tumble rodeo cowboy Brody Creed likes life on the move. Until a chance encounter with his long-estranged twin brother brings him “home,” for the first time in years. Suddenly Brody is in Creed territory—a rootless bad boy among family with deep ties to the land and each other. He’s half-ready to bolt when he meets a copper-haired beauty more restless than he is.

I started this book in August and forgot to take it with me when we went on vacation, then one thing after another got in the way of me finishing it. Over the weekend we lost power for four days which gave me time to read, with flashlights or candles or book lights, but time without other distractions. The first night this is the book I decided to pick up and finish.

NOTE: This is third in the trilogy of the Creeds and by far my favorite book in the series. I have had a strong pull to Brody since the beginning (yep he was a book boyfriend) and was excited when his story did not let me down!

I am a Linda Lael Miller fan. Totally fan. I fell her in love with her work in 2009 when I checked one of her older books out of the library. Loved it. It totally engrossed me, and I was a fan for life. However, lately, I've slacked up on some of her books. I haven't kept up with what I wanted to in her series, but when the opportunity presented itself to review her most recent novel, The Creed Legacy, I jumped on it. It was so like going home after a long vacation! She totally gripped me with t...more
Oh my, oh my, oh my . . . those Creed men just keep our mouths watering and our hearts palpitating, and good ole boy Brody is no exception. Playing the bad boy of the family, estranged from his twin brother Connor for a decade, showing up in Lonesome Bend only now and then and leaving the responsibility of their jointly owned ranch to Connor, Brody was a man who seemed to live in the emotional shadows and even those closest to him most of his life felt excluded and shunned.

Okay, I admit it, despite the fact that I live in the inner suburbs of a major city and spend my days anchored to a computer I have a soft spot for tree changes, simple livin’, and cow rustlin’. Perhaps it’s nostalgia for my family’s farming background, or just the fact that it’s bloody cold here in Melbourne right now and I’m yearning for some sunshine, but Lael Miller’s The Creed Legacy hit the spot for me.

Bad Boy, fearless but far from rootless Brody Creed has come home to Lonsome Bend to roost for good. After years of separation from his kin he’s got a future to plan and a past to make up for and with the help of the family who loves him still and always and one special woman he just may just complete “The Creed Legacy”.

Linda Lael Miller does it again with this novel. I was looking for something light hearted to read with (sorry) a definite good ending and this book did not disappoint. It was funny and serious. We always expect funny, caught off guard scenes from Linda; but this book had a sad note to it as well. In the end, the cowboy’s heart as well as the cowgirl’s heart will mend with the help of their love.

Once estranged from his family and living the hard and fast life on the rodeo circuit, Brody Creed is now back at Lonesome Bend. Reconciled with his family and his twin brother Conner, Brody is just a touch envious of his brother and cousin Steven who have settled happily into marriage with their respective wives.

This is the third installment in the latest group of the Montana Creeds series by Linda Lael Miller. Luckily for me Linda Lael Miller loves to write about cowboys and i love to read about them. This contemporary cowboy romance has just what you need if you crave a sexy Creed, some serious and humorous moments with a happy ending. All cowboy stories should have one of those right? Brody is one of twin brothers who were estranged from each other over the course of the past 10 years. In Creed's Hon...more
This was another great book by LLM. Brody was a carefree and non-committed cowboy who would rather be traveling on the road than settle down. That soon changed after he and his brother mended their fences and worked through their differences. I loved that Brody was genuine and passionate. What I didn't like was that he waited so long to tell Carolyn why he just up and left her one day. Carolyn was a great heroine. Independent, a survivor, and beautiful inside and out. What I didn't like was how...more

Wow, this may very well be my first 1 star book. And I usually enjoy Linda Lael Miller's novels!
A lot of things annoyed me in this (and some just made me mad), which I won't go into again (if you really want to know, they are in my updates for the book - talking about them again would just make me mad. Again). Basically, there is a distinct lack of strong individual characters. There is the very obvious bias against internet dating (which, while something I personally have never done, is a perfe...more

The Creed Legacy is a wonderfully written story. It’s rather inspirational in some ways, and I found myself drawn to the characters inside this story. It was rather slow in the beginning, and it nearly put me off from reading, but the pace picked up soon after and I found that the story is rather tolerable.

I'm very much a mood reader, so even though I read the first two books in this series over the summer and really enjoyed them, I put off Brody's book for as long as possible because I knew his history was the saddest. Now, I regret waiting so long because Brody's the type of character you don't leave waiting on the back burner.
Yup. Brody Creed. What can I say about him except that he's one helluva cowboy. I totally and completely fell in love with his 'bad boy', loner personality back in book on...more

nice ending to the series of Steven, Conner and Brody Creed. Brody and Conner fought over a girl about 10 years before, Brody took off to the rodeo circuit leaving Conner to take care of the ranch they share. Brody returned a few years later looking to reconcile, showed up at his uncles house to find the house sitter, Carolyn Simmons and a fell in love in a week. Brody gets a from a former girlfriend, upshot is she is pregnant, unless Brody wants to get married she is going to give babe up for a...more
This was the first book I've read by Linda Lael Miller and thus the first Creed novel I've read, though I've heard lots of good things about them in the past. I was glad once I started reading and realized that I didn't need to have read the other books to understand the plot of this one.

I'd have to say that of the Creed Cowboys series, this was my favorite. I thoroughly enjoyed Brody, his humor and his inter-action with his twin, Conner. Carolyn was very likeable as our heroine looking for love and family and the results of her foray into online dating services is exactly why I believe I wouldn't try it if I weren't married. The chemistry between Brody & Carolyn is great and Miller again gives us a feel-good romance. I've read around 20 of Millers cowboy romances and while...more
The Creed Legacy was by far my favorite of the trilogy. It is also the most heart wrenching. You finally get to know what caused Brody Creed to leave Caroline six years before and what kept him away. This book isn't all happy go lucky as you watch Brody work his way back to his family. But, as family is meant to do, they welcome him back with open arms. The scenes between Brody and Davis are very touching. Both Brody and Caroline grow so much in this book and you find yourself just rooting for t...more
Brody Creed is home from his years of wandering. He is happy to be back in Lonesome Bend and working on the ranch with his uncle and his twin brother. He is even building his own fancy new house. But seeing the relationships around him makes him feel even more lonely. He wants a wife and a family. Years ago he had a relationship with Carolyn Simmons but he left her when an old girlfriend called to say she was pregnant. Carolyn, already having abandonment issues because of her childhood in foster...more
Two good-hearted people who love their family and friends but who deep down don't believe they themselves are lovable. A guy so romantic (and rich) that he refurbishes part of an old drive-in movie to create the perfect date for a woman he hurt so many years ago--and then shows a movie featuring an actor who REALLY hurt her. Horses, artists, friends, family--what more could you want?

Brody and Carolyn were my favorite couple in Miller’s Creed series. And I wasn’t expecting that, because (1) I don’t typically like romances where the hero/heroine have a history, and (2) I was feeling a little Creed burn out before I got to this book.
I loved that this continues the stories from her earlier books, but I never felt that it overpowered their story. Tricia and Conner are in the honeymoon stage, but I enjoyed that their romance elevates their other relationships (friendships, famil...more

Review by Jen: This story is supposedly about Brody Creed (as the series has been following the Creed clan), but really, the star of this book is Carolyn, his love interest. Carolyn is a complex character and one that you're just drawn to. She's lead a hard life, first being abandoned by her mother, then surviving the foster care system and then leading a "gypsy" life -- floating from one job/place to another, but never really settling down. But when she lands in Lonesome Bend, she found a place...more

I love Miller, having been born in Texas how could I not. There is nothing like a guy in a pair of wranglers, boots, and cowboy hat sitting in a saddle... oh, the memories!
Anyway, Brody is one of favorite Creeds. He's the bad boy coming back to the family ranch. His brother believes those years were spent living wild and crazy. There are fences to mend, on the ranch and in his personal relationships... there's also the one that got away and Brody is back to see if he can't keep her this time.

This is the first romance I've read in years, that being said, I'm pretty sure that this one belongs in the middle of a series. Based on the number of happy couples in the book, I would guess that there are at least two, if not three other books before this one.
I didn't find anything remarkable about this story, but it did what i think a romance is meant to do, it entertained me. The next time I get an urge to read a romance, I'll check out the other books by this author.

The book cover model is so hot! I had to look it up and found out the same model is used to portray the twins, great photo shoot.
