When I was younger I had a deck of cards that I inherited from my mother. The deck just kept showing up in my room and eventually she gifted them to me. It was a classic 'White Rider' deck and over the years I have found it to go missing for extended periods of time. Sometimes they would vanish when I was interested in exploring them. They would turn up later at the bottom of my closet under a mountain of clothes completely scattered - that was the most extreme and to this day I feel strongly th...more

Tarot cards are not a Gypsy tool to take money from trusting people. When an acknowledged MA with decades of work in psychology and intuitive studies, a Reiki master, teacher and life purpose coach decides to spread the light of Psychic Tarot knowledge, the phenomenons like this book happen.

From a very grounded point of view you learn what psychic arts are and how to achieve the basic level of development "in your own kitchen" i.e. without the need to take cl...more

If you have ever been a skeptic, ever had an interest, or have been doing readings for some time, this is the most comprehensive book I have found to date!
The author has a remarkable background, with 25+ years experience with Tarot, and she details every part of Tarot that you will need in order to thoroughly understand and learn.
The pages are easily read, easily understood, and each individual card is described in full, very easy to understand, detail. Complete with pictures, and descriptions...more

I have always been fascinated with all things paranormal and occult. So when I was selected to review The True Nature of Tarot: Your Path to Personal Empowerment by Diane Wing, M.A., I was really excited. I've had readings done a few times and found it to be a very interesting experience, and I definitely wanted to learn more, especially how to do readings myself. I found this book to be perfect for a beginner such as myself. Here's the excerpt from the back cover:

Recommends it for: Anyone interested in tarot or occult.
I have been interested in tarot since I was in middle school. It was the same time I discovered my love for barns & nobles. I had never been there before the day I went with my mother. On that day she bought a set of the Waite tarot. She never really let me touch or see them but I always knew they were there calling my name. I inherited then when she died and still never learned how to use them. When I was given the chance to review this book that has the images of the very deck I have I was...more

I have always been fascinated with Tarot cards. I've owned my own deck for years. I just never really had a book that could help me learn to read the cards. When I first started reading The True Nature of Tarot by Diane Wing, I was really taken with the section on Opening to the Energy. That sections talks about all people having been born with psychic ability but we don't develop it. There have been so many times I've KNOWN something that was going to happen. KNOWN I was going to see a certain...more
Spirituality is a part of everyone, whether we are Christians, Muslims, Wiccans, Jewish, etc. We all believe in a higher power, most of us accept that there is more to life than just the physical realm. With that said, allow me to explain. I recently had the opportunity to read The True Nature of Tarot: Your Path to Personal Empowerment. I've always been interested in tarot and really anything magical. I believe that it is another way to discover yourself and your thoughts. Realistically anyone...more

Diane's book "The True Nature of Tarot: Your
Path to Personal Empowerment" is wonderful
for those who want to learn Tarot. Beginners
will find it easy to understand. She makes
learning fun, and I was excited to buy my cards
and try everything she taught me in this
book. This book is perfect for beginners, but I
think those who already understand Tarot will
find it inspiring and enjoyable.

At one point she states, "Once the hand is dealt, visually
scan the cards to see if one draws your
attention or seems b...more
The True Nature of Tarot is a comprehensive starting point for the beginner in tarot reading. The book provides a complete overview of not only the elements of a tarot reading but an understanding of the symbolism within the decks.

For the advance practitioner her card interpretations provide new insight and interesting descriptions that helped me to gain further knowledge into their meanings. I don't practice tarot readings professionally but I value to the clarity these provide from a psycholog...more
