Angels of the Night: Discovery is an amazing debut book in the Angels of the Night series. Kennedy draws you in with brilliant characters and the mysterious world of Free Masons and Vampires. The story was intriguing from the very beginning and at no point became predictable. Every time I thought I had it figured out, the author would surprise me with a new twist in the story. Even though this book is tagged as a Young Adult, I wouldn’t suggest it for someone under the age of 17. While there are...more
The end just about killed me - can't wait for the second book!
Angels of the Night: Discovery

Bravo, bravo, bravo! It is going to be hard for me to put into words what I think about this book! As soon as I was finished reading it, I emailed Paula right away asking if she had book two done, praying that she did. She said no, but it's in the works. I felt deflated but there was nothing I could do about it.
As most of you know, my favorite character is the Vampire, I am so in love with them! Each time a author sends me one to read, I open it with...more
Let me start off by saying I fell in love with the cover and then when I read the synopsis I was even more excited to read this book. Vampires and a secret society that alone made me ignore everything and read this book in one sitting.

Allison has seen shadows stalking her for her entire life. Tired and scared of them she accepts an invitation from her dad to a secret society which is none other than the Masons. They have known about the existence of vampires and work together to eliminate the bl...more

"Angles of the Night" by Paul Kennedy was a really interesting mysterious world of Free Masons and Vampires. I believe Ms Kennedy did an excellent job with this storytelling using her imagination and such creativity to create such a read. I found this read very hard
to put down until I was finished with it. The story was truly very intriguing and at no point predic...more

When I started this book, I noticed that there are many draws that snag you from the very beginning. Obviously, the first one you'll see is the cover. It's absolutely stunning. Then, if you're like me and you want to know what the book is actually about.. the synopsis will come next. And if that doesn't grab you, then the opening scenes will. If I didn't think that I was hooked into Angels of the Night: Discovery to begin with, then the first chapter definitely seals the deal. It adds a level of...more
I won this book in a giveaways and I am glad that I won it. It's a terrific book.

The heroine is likable and brave. The characters really drive the story. I really like the interaction among the 3 main characters... The story is about a teenager but I think all adults can read it and enjoy it...

Looking forward to the next book!

Awesome read!

Original Romancing the Darkside Review:

A thrilling debut of mystery, secret societies and vampires!

When Allison Webber is approached by her father to join a secret society of men, mainly for her own protection, she barely questions the invitation and agrees. The secret society is none other than the Masons, a long established society of men who know of the existence of vampires and work hard to keep their kind a secret. At her first meeting Allison is intr...more
I like this book. Unfortunately I do not love it. I could love it, I may still love future works from this writer as she has a real gift with story. There are just some rookie details that bother me, pull me out of the story. N

ow, I will climb into the armchair quarterback recliner and give it a go. Those who can't do..criticize others and hope they know it is meant with kindness and respect?

Note this will probably be my longest review yet, and I do it because I really do like this book.

This book was okay but really hard to get invested in the storyline. Here is why:

I didn't like the vampire mythology, it didn't work for me. It was really weird and didn't seem that possible, and not everything was explained. The author expected you to believe it because she said it. The main character, Allison, says she is a moron a lot and that doesn't help with me liking her. I didn't feel like I really got to know the characters. They felt so shallow with no depth. There were many type-os,...more

This is an interesting take on the vampire myth, with light and dark male vampires working against the stronger, more violent and bloodthirsty female vamps (highbinders). With the help of a very famous cult, the light vampires are working towards a world where vamps and humans can co-exist peacefully...Overall, the distinctions between the vampire groups and the cult work well and form a nice base for the story. For me this was one of the biggest strengths of the book and I definitely think ther...more

-.- Why do I keep on picking boring books?? I think the only thing I liked was that there were twins. I mean come on! No matter how much a book sucks if there is hot twins then it makes it a lot more bearable.
Really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read the second one!
Amazing ending! Can't wait for book 2!
