A really, really expensive book--I was able to get it at a discount. I'm really glad I read through some of the sections while other sections in this work are redundant and it probably would have been better not to include them.

Some of the essays in this edited volume have already been published before and some are new and/or hard to find in OUP books.

Actually I reviewed this for ArtPapers [http://www.artpapers.org/] back in a previous lifetime. Theoretically it's sort of whatever (panopticon, panopticon... we get it) but the art proper, is interesting.

I'm a fan of the redlight-enforcement-cam wedding photo.

Turns out the Virilio is translated by one Bernard Prusak...
