This collection is a really on the mixed bag of tales featuring Cap facing off against his most iconic foe, the Red Skull. An entertaining if patchy collection of stories featuring Cap and his archnemesis the Red Skull. It's also interesting to see how the Skull has been written differently throughout the years - from a plain Nazi villain who merely has a gimmick, to an instigator of racial hatred in Harlem to a crazed Nazi super-mensch.

Too much old Marvel and the way certain characters a portrayed seems slightly racist, daddio.

It turns out that there have been some less than great Captain America stories where he fights the Red Skull. Even the original Cosmic Cube story isn't very good.

By the way, a reprint is included from Cap's very first comic appearance and he doesn't use a gun.
