Bond With Me is set in the year 2090, in Moscow’s seedy underworld where paranormals and mortals coexist. Fallen angels were accused of horrific crimes and cursed to live on earth over three millennia ago as soulless goblins. They constantly struggle with the beast within them that craves the souls of humans. The goblins use their sexual magnetism to seduce humans into a bond that will allow them to feed upon the mortal soul. In exchange for the bond, they grant a wish. If a fallen finds his sou ...more

Marsh did a much better job with this one than her "The Hunt" or "Pharon's Demon" books. So much better that I'm starting the second book right away.
Goblins? How sexy are they? That seemed to be the only original idea in this book, and not one that really appealed to me. It seemed that all the other paranormal creatures had already been used up?

The story felt like a diluted version of JR Ward's Fallen Angel series, but without the fun male banter and one liners. "Shitkickers" and "For fuck's sake" are truly JR Ward's signature phrases, but were used frequently in the story. The overuse of the word "hell" at the beginning of every other sent
I'm going to be brutally honest here because I disliked the book but just could not put it down. Its horribly frustrating so I'll start with my first impression: Amatuer. But that being said, I think the author has a fairly unique world here that made me want to know more and the hardcore love of the main characters made me finish it. I'm not kidding about that. The world seemed beautifully thought out and the characters were completely satisfying.

Why it was such a pain to read was the overall

Mischka Baran has come to G2, a well known club frequented by the Fallen. She has no desire to bond with the Fallen like so many of the women who have flocked to the club. Mischka is searching for information that will lead her to her run away cousin. Club owner Brends Duranov has his sights set on Mischka. His instincts call to bond with her and he knows from the start it's more than just a sexual need but whatever it is, it will have to wait. There is a killer on the loose who is targeting bot ...more
I'm giving this one 4.5 stars. Totally unique world building and all centered on Moscow, with the Fallen Angels (Goblins) looking very much like the Russian Mafiaso.

Following a bloody revolt in Heaven several thousand Dominion Angels are expelled, have their wings removed by Archangel Michael and fall to Earth. They are promised if they find their soul mates and learn to love that they may return. Three thousand years later not one of them has found their soul mate and no one believes that promi

They are the Fallen. Angels that rebelled in Heaven and as punishment were made Goblins. Half human and half beast. As Goblins they still have supernatural powers but they are deadly. When they loose control their animalistic side breaks free. Goblins are also cursed to feed upon humans’ souls. Their only hope is to find a soul mate and return to Heaven but a sinister force doesn’t want them to find one…..

This story surprised me. At first the attitude towards humans, women, in particular was callous and crude. As the story developed and the relationships became what they become the treatment and attitude changes. It is the ultimate female fairy tale: Wendy and Peter Pan if Peter Pan could no longer fly and had a beast within (the unspoken: don't all men?). Many years ago, long before I was married, I knew my love could turn that bad boy around. Unfortunately, he was NOT a fallen angel, he (severa ...more
A very interesting and sexy take on fallen angels. The concept of bonding is also a bit unique so I feel like this series provides a new story despite having somewhat typical characters. Brends is very much an Alpha male and I didn't find him all that attractive at first. It took me a bit to stop reading his name as "Brenda" and finally warm up to him. Mischka had some moments where she came across strongly but for the most part she didn't wow me. Truthfully, I found Dathan and Pell's romance mu ...more

A Dark and Edgy Read

They were set up. Since creation, the Dominion served as faithful warrior angels defending the throne, but that loyalty earned them little when the archangel Michael accused them of heinous crimes and banished them from the heavens. Stripped of their wings and souls, robbed of their emotions, they fell. Cursed by Michael's fury, they became Goblins - half man, half beast - dependent on the souls of humanity for sustenance. They were promised a chance at redempt
This book is what I like to call a "kitchen sink" story, where there's everything but the kitchen sink. Brends Duranov is a Fallen angel, which makes him a Goblin, which means he trades favors for souls. If he doesn't, then the Thirst drives him crazy until he murders women or turns into the Goblin beast thing, which basically is a big rapey hulk with long fingernails. When his kind bonds with a woman, they feed off of their emotions and soul...until the soul is gone? That part was never really ...more
For my first experience into the world of the Fallen, Bond With Me was a whim in which I'm glad I choose. Michael has casted out angels and tore from them their wings. Now they are only known as Goblins - beings that humans should stay clear of. Their only hope of returning to the Heavens is to bond with a soul mate. The only problem: someone or something is killing female human souls-the exact souls that are meant to be bonded to the Fallen. Brends and his brothers are out to find answers befor ...more
Writing this review makes me a bit sad. I think this book had a lot of potential and a fresh storyline.

The book simply didn't hook me in. I started reading and then stopped. Some time later I started from the beginning again and was able to keep going. I liked the story about the Fallen, but I had a hard time liking the main characters.

Mischka and Brends were ok, but it seemed to me that she was really quick to change her feelings and develop this deep love for him. I think Dathan and Pell's r
*2.5 Stars*

This one was a big disappointment for me. The mythology of the fallen could have been interesting but I felt that it wasn't fleshed out very well. The action, actually just the writing in general, felt disjointed and it was not a very smooth reading experience. I had hopes for the inner strength of the heroine but said strength wasn't consistent and the relationship as a whole was pretty underdeveloped and unbelievable. I never felt any actual emotion developing, just the standard lus

An observation by no means complaint, different writing style? A little disjointed things happen and you have to go back and read to see if you missed something even in the sex scenes. I must say I'm not all about those scenes but when in one position and things happening that don't make sense kinda messes up flow of story......but I shall continue. Still reading bit more observations what's with the repeated reference with skin being dark and/or darkening, don't get it. And you hav
WoW! WoW! I bought this book on a whim, as it was free on the Nook. Read half the book at night and finish it today, couldn't put it down!!!

The story is about Fallen Angels, in which Brends is a smoking hot angel just looking to taste the flavor. Mischka is looking for her family member that she believes made a grave mistake.

As the story unfolds, we learn how the angels were cast out of the heavens, we learned there is a killer on the loose and we learn just how seductive these angels can be.

I just couldn't get into this book at all! I did finish it hoping it might get better....and it didn't. I didn't like the author's writing style at all, it was difficult to follow at times and the story just fell flat for me. Most of the story was about sex, thinking about sex, someone else watching them have sex or dreaming about sex. Now come on...some sex in a story is good, but not when there is not a good story plot to go with it. Even the sex scenes fell flat for me. I will definitely not ...more

"Bond With Me" by Anne Marsh was a good book :) It could have been better, but ill give the book 3 to 3,5 stars..
I can't decide.. :P It was to many pov's for me. If it had only been Brends and Mischka's pov the book would have been
so much better! The story was good, and i did like the characters. The book was worth the time and who doesn't like
reading about angels/fallen angels?! :D
I liked the idea of this book, but I had trouble following the story at times. There was great sexual tension, but then the love scenes fell totally flat for me! I really liked the world the author created, though I still have a few question about how this bond thing works. There is definitely potential for a series and I would like to see where it goes!
I enjoyed this book it was intriguing, different and dramatic. I couldn't wait to find out what happened. There are so many different aspects to the story we don't know how it's going to play out. I really didn't understand the relationship between Mishka and Brends. I want to figure out about Mishka's past but it was never revealed. I'm wondering if that was purposely or the fact there was so much going on that it wasn't put into the story. That's the reason for the 3 stars. I thought that was ...more
My Review:

The Plot:

The year is 2090 and after the devastation of the human wars left them subdued and vulnerable, the paranormals of the world emerged from their hiding places. Now, where the city of Moscow once stood, M City reigns and is controlled by the most powerful of paranormals: the Goblins. Once glorious angels, the Goblins were cast from the heavens by the Archangel Michael, their wings stripped, their golden beauty darkened and in the absence of their once glowing souls, they were pai
Bond with Me by Anne Marsh
The Fallen are a part of thousands of angels that had their wings cut off and sent to earth to live as Goblins three thousand years ago. The year is now 2090 and Brends Duranov is the owner of G2's. The humans swarm here to have Goblin give them their favor and the price they pay is to bond with them, body and soul, for a whatever time they demand of them. They were told by Michael that they could be redeemed if they found their soul mate and found love but after all th

Ugh! What is it with these multiple romances in these books?!? I found it hard to become vested in the characters because there were two romances to track. This story definitely has one couple as the focal point. However, I guess I could have forgiven that if it weren’t for the lady must want something from the guy. I wanted the character to want to be with him, not, “oh, protect me you hulky man. I weak female can’t do it.” Don’t get me wrong, I love the alpha male but I don’t believe that mean ...more
Fiendishly Bookish

Carnal angels, a heavenly battle gone wrong, and drinking down the shimmering life of a soul-this is the fate of the Fallen in Anne Marsh’s erotic thriller Bond with Me.

Marsh’s damned angels exist as sensual lords of darkness in the seething underground of M-City, where the icy currents of the Moskva River churns and the fragmented Soviet-era buildings still stand-remnants of the distant past. For the Fallen, the only way to feel is to drink in the life of a soul-by bonding with another and in

This was a freebie friday offer for the nook, and let me just say how awesome it is that B&N put this on offer as it is far outside what I would consider mainstream fiction. This is paranormal erotic romance set in a dystopian future of 2090 in post-apocalyptic Moscow (now M City). If you are looking for an unusual read, this is it. And if you love Kresley Cole, JR Ward, and paranormal fiction generally, you will love this book and undoubtedly rate it much higher than I. I only read a little ...more
The premise of the book is good, i do admit i took the day to read the book, and wasn't convinced at first, but then i got the premise of the book. The idea of a path for lost warriors is a great attractive idea to me personally. I lived the character development, although there could have been a little more on the leads, this makes the whole story a little less in my eyes, but still not enough to loose my interest. The ideas are great and thats what counts.

The story has just the amount of acti

I commented in the Cocktail Society Book Club post for this book that I've had this sitting in my Kindle library waiting to be read since the summer. I think when I got it it was one of the Kindle free reads. As I said in my comment, I should receive a thousand feather soft lashes for letting this book sit unread for so long!!

Although I'm not a huge fan over angel books (whether their fallen or otherwise) this one had me hooked from the very beginning. Brends and his brother of Fallen are gritty

After ten years of graduate school and too many degrees, Anne Marsh escaped to become a technical writer. When not planted firmly in front of the laptop translating Engineer into English, Anne enjoys gardening, running (even if it’s just to the 7-11 for slurpees), and reading books curled up with her kids. The best part of writing romance, however, is finally being able to answer the question: “So ...more
