I'm getting a crap-tastically late start to my day, due in large part to a fat black cat who thought she'd spend a good portion of midnight-through-dawn spelunking merrily around in our closet like the freaking tomb raider. It's a big, deep closet. We couldn't locate her to extract her; and even if we had, it's not like we could keep her out of it indefinitely – because the closet doesn't have a door. It's one of the "quirks" of living in an old building.
(God help us if we try to shut the bedroom door, with the cat on EITHER side of it. She wails like she's being beaten with a sock full of pennies until we open it again. Yes, she is spoiled. She is also getting old, and set in her ways, and it's not like we're going to change her now.)
By the time I got back to sleep the sun was coming up; and when I finally awoke with a start and realized, "Oh damn, it must be lunchtime" it was, in fact, nearly lunchtime. So I have a lot of catching up to do today. And I blame this kitty. That's right, it's her fault I'll be offline for the rest of the day.
It's a good thing she's so damn cute.
