A diplomatic car with two DEA agents and a Mexican marine captain was attacked on Friday morning by Mexican federal police. Witnesses say about six federal police vehicles surrounded the car and opened fire. Guillermo Paxton The interesting thing is that the US is trying to keep it a secret that the "government employees" that were with the Mexican naval captain are DEA agents. My source in the Mexican government tells me this is because the US government does not want the US citizens to lose confidence in the drug war. I didn't know that anyone actually did still have confidence in the drug war. The investigation of the Mexican federales that fired upon this official US vehicle were at first called "witnesses", now they are known to be the attackers. They want to know why and the official story is that it was bad intel. The truth is that Beltran Leyva paid them a pretty penny to "accidentally" fire upon the DEA agents.
