I still have a bunch of interviews and things going on in conjunction with the release of Kitty Steals the Show.  I’ll be on Bitten by Books later today, RSVP here, and Dark Faerie Tales is hosting a giveaway. What else?  I know I’m forgetting something.  Oh, my mom found this:  Kitty Rocks the House is up on Amazon.  See, I wasn’t kidding when I said the next book was ready to go!

Update:  The Bitten by Books event is live, and I’ll drop by to answer questions.

And now, it wouldn’t be the weekend without a movie review:

I love the Bourne series of movies primarily because they don’t treat their audiences like they’re complete morons.  It’s so amazingly refreshing.  I think the thing I loved most about this one:  Aaron Cross is not just another Jason Bourne.  He’s his own person, a brand new character, and his own personality comes out in delightful little moments throughout.  The movie started a bit slow, and the science, though based on actual solid research, got a little handwavy.  But I still loved it because it didn’t treat the audience like we’re complete morons.  It assumed we could figure stuff out.  And oh, the competence.  The plot didn’t depend on anyone being dumb.  The protagonists are smart, the antagonists are smart, the secondary characters are smart, the random factory foreman is smart, everybody is smart!  What an absolute pleasure!  My mantra lately has been “competence is sexy.”  Well, very sexy movie right here.  And that was even before Jeremy Renner took his shirt off.

*fans self*

(I think I have a new actor crush.  How long do I have to wait until Avengers 2?  Doesn’t Hawkeye get his own movie in the meantime?  What?  No?  NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!)

Lynda Tatad We just saw the movie over the weekend, and I completely agree with both your review and opinion of Jeremy Renner! I loved him in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, too! Here's hoping he has more movie deals coming his way!

Ela Glad you liked it, I love the Borne trilogy but I'm worried about seeing this because Jason Borne isn't in it, but I'm feeling a little happier about it now :)

Carrie Vaughn Renner gave Aaron Cross this kind of earnestness that made him very charming.
