Thoughout the day I touched on what blog topic I might write about, and since I struck out, I thought why not talk about which blog topics are the most interesting or popular? I can't speak for other bloggers, so I'll keep my remarks confined to my own illustrious blog: CRACKED REARVIEW MIRROR. One thing I try to do is to keep my blogs compact.

Since we've got Byrce Harper and Stephen Strasburg in D.C., baseball is a favorite topic, perhaps more so for my tweets. I also enjoy watching film noirs, so I'll do a brief review of the good ones and the bad ones I've seen.

Writers are encouraged to talk about writerly things, but I'm finding the longer I write novels, the less I really have to say about them. Of course, when a new one is released (mine is the crime novel Blood Diamonds), I get excited and chatty about it at least for a while.

I like to write about my leisure reading, especially if I get a book that fires my jets. Time has become a factor, so my book list has been trimmed considerably, especially this year. I have a basic Kindle, so I've been able to read e-books.

Somebody suggested reposting old blogs that drew the most hits. I've heard doing a blog the first thing in the morning is the best time. That didn't work out so well for me. So, I hope all your blogs are good ones to you and your readers.

Michele bookloverforever would love blogs about books you've read. I love mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, romance, paranormal. If it's a good story with a touch of humor (including sardonic humor), I'll give it a try. Love good stories but these days I like books with strong women characters in them.

Strong women characters are among my favorite ones to write. Maybe it comes from those types of women I've had in my life. I like the books I've read idea for future blogs. I appreciate the feedback. Thanks.
