[image error]So. It's here. Release month. YOU can actually go and BUY the book. RIGHT NOW.
I'll wait right here.
In all seriousness, I am super excited that the time has finally come. CAT GIRL is out there in the world. People are reading it. People I've never ever met are laughing at silly cat jokes because of me. That makes me inordinately happy.
I do hope you'll go out and buy a copy for yourself. Or a friend. Or that lady down the street with all the cats that kind of freaks you out a little because she's always muttering about how she needs to buy more tuna and she smells kind of funny. She could probably use a good laugh.
And if you do buy a copy this month (April 2012), remember that I'll send you a letter and a signed bookplate (no, I'm not kidding). If you don't see the book in your local store on the shelf, please ask them to order it. I will seriously love you forever (still not kidding). Or you can buy it online: directly from Lee & Low | Amazon | Barnes & Noble | or via IndieBound. For ebook-ish people, there's Amazon Kindle | Barnes & Noble Nook |and Google eBookstore
AND because I love you so much (and my publisher does too, because I've told them all about how awesome you are), there are also some fun chances to WIN a copy of Cat Girl's Day Off (I'll update this list as new ones pop up).
Easton West (the celebrity blogger from the book) has taken over the Lee & Low blog. Comment to win a copy!
The Book Cricket says "You Want to Read It!" and has a copy up for grabs. All you gotta do is leave a comment by April 22nd to enter to win (you should go over there anyway to check out their review because it gives me the warm fuzzies AND she had the good sense to name her cat Gracie).
BooksYALove loved it too and her cat Max has a copy to give away to one lucky commenter by April 16th (Max the cat interviews Rufus Brutus the Third from the book for the giveaway…another great cat name!).
And…my editor, Stacy Whitman, subjected her cats to public humiliation in the name of a contest. Caption this photo to enter to win a copy of the book! Gotta do it by Monday, April 9th, so think fast (and think funny)
