At the end of January, as I was getting ready to upload Shattered Glass, I told my s/o that, while I thought I was putting a good book out there, I probably would only sell about ten copies. And five of those would be to my friends and his family. Not only was I writing in a niche, I was writing a niche within a niche (mystery/suspense/very little sex) and my character wasn't going to connect with everyone. So I'm a little in shock today when I announce that, thanks to you awesome people, Shattered Glass made it to number one on Amazon.com in all of Gay & Lesbian books.

More than selling books, more than making a living on my writing, more than anything really, I wanted to connect with readers and I wanted to give them a good experience. I hope I've accomplished that. And the comments you send me, the words you have said about my book in emails and messages, I sometimes have cried. So thank you so much. (and then Austin told me to suck it up oO).

To celebrate and to thank all of you for making Shattered Glass number one on Amazon Gay and Lesbian (books and Kindle!), I'm going to hold a contest. No, I won't be giving away my book (someone else is doing that later this month!); I'm going to give away someone else's book. Yes, you heard that right! =) (no, I don't know whose). And maybe some other swag.

Details to come later today!

Awesome news. Yay for Shattered Glass making number 1 on Amazon! It deserves it. You deserve it. Almost everyone I've chatted with loves the book, but the coolest thing is they all love different things about it. So the appeal is pretty broad and deep. A job well done, I'd say. "D

I suspect your husband is laughing and saying "I told you so". This is good for us too. Now you'll get rich, quit your day job and write full time.....or at least be closer.

Dea I just read your book the other day and even now I can't find the right words to tell you how much this book amazed me. I loved everything about it; the characters, the plot and how you managed to get my emotions so involed. Keep up with the good (excellent) work. I can't wait to read your next book :)

Thank you, Queen of Thread Derailers! (I thought, you know, in honor of the occasion, you should get your title back).

Wow. Thank you so much Dea! It was an emotional roller coaster to write as well. Those bottled-up boys really took me for a ride, sometimes making me step away from the computer.

lol rich *snort*. My best friends said that too, (the ones in the dedication). They want me to fly them over here when I'm rich. I said I'd have to write about fifty erotic novels a month to get rich. Not sure I could be that imaginative with sex oO.
