The Conflict Count
This question has come up a few times, so let me say it here: The prompts in Writing Magic and on this blog are yours to use. If the resulting fiction is published I want to hear about it so I can cheer along with you, and a print acknowledgement, if you can, is always appreciated.

Hannah I have your book Writing Magic, and I do have a story I have been working on for a long time that used one of your prompts as an opening line. It is much changed by now, but the original line was yours. Thank you for that. The book may never see the light of day, but you got me started.
