This week's theme popped into my mind out of nowhere and I look forward to seeing what that word conjures up for you. I'm not going to start it off with my own story this week so as not to influence anyone. Instead, I'll let you take this in whatever direction you like.
If you're new to Story Weekend, here's how it works: I pick a theme and you share something from your life that relates to that theme, however you interpret it. Thanks to all of you who've been contributing. As always, there are a few "rules":
▪ The story must be true.
▪ Try to keep it under 100 words. Embrace the challenge! That's about six or seven lines in the comment form. I want others to read your story, and most people tend to skip if it's too long. I know how tough it is to "write tight" but I hope you'll accept this as a challenge.
▪ Avoid offensive language, unless you want to be a rebel!

No, no, no!!!! This is my two year old's favorite new phrase. Isabella, do you want breakfast? No! Isabella do you want to go outside? No! Isabella, do you want your blankie? No... Yes please mommy! The rebellion to last the next sixteen years has begun.
Since I have been married I've had three dogs ... Rosie my little cocker spaniel (RIP) my beautiful Maggie Mae(RIP) who was a Lab/Golden mix and Miss Bella Luna my little devil. She is the most rebellious puppy I have ever seen. You tell her "NO Bella" Bella looks at you like you are out of your mind and does exactly what she pleases!! Only way she listens to either of us is if we bribe her with Cheez-Its SHE ABSOLUTELY adores them. I just have to say Bella, want a cheez it and she immediately stops the behavior sits tall and waits for her delicious treat. I swear I am investing in boxes of those cheesy treats just for her. After she has one or two she is sweet as sugar!! Funniest thing you ever saw ... Bella is 13 months old and a Lab/Rotty mix ... but we love her even if she is a little devil at times!! Hope she outgrows this soon!! :D
