Hey all! So I got approved for G+ Hangouts on Air, which is basically a broadcast Hangout with selected people, yay fun! I thought a fun way to use this new feature would to discuss books I've read lately, specifically Vaginal Fantasy books (meaning lady-leaning paranormal and historical adventure books. Boys might like them too, but there is a big romance thread for them to qualify for my "Vaginal" label. Check out my Goodreads account for how I classify books. )

Joining my Hangout will be my friends@Kiala,@Veronica and@Bonniegrrl. I think it will be fun, because Veronica and Bonnie normally don't read these types of books and Kiala and I read every single one. Like, EVERY one :D So the discussion will be lively.

I'll also start a thread the day of where you can add your questions and comments for us to add to our discussion. It's gonna be fun!

If you'd like to join in with the main book we're reading, it's called:

"Grave Witch" by Kalayna Price

Hope to see you Monday, Jan 30th at 8pm PST!

David I had a band called Vaginal Fantasy VII, a few years ago. Good luck with your new mission.

Lindsay Curious as a lesbian if I would enjoy these or not. Huge into the sci/fi fantasy, but sometimes the romance (and then some!) seems like it's just there for the girls. :) But in any case, I'll try anything and I love several books that you've rated highly that would probably fall in this category! Can't wait to see how the discussions go.

I do like this book a lot, if you want a bit of g/g tension, the Hallows series by Rachel errrr Harrison? Gotta look it up, anyway, that's a great series with some interesting overtones with her and her roomate. And fun reads too!

Knig-o-lass I had not heard of Vaginal Fantasy before: what is it exactly? Grave witch is classed as urban/paranormal fantasy.

message 12: by Ladystacia (new)

Ladystacia It was too late for me to order "Grave Witch", but I would really love to participate! Will you make sure to tweet the next book you guys are going to chat about?
Thanks so much!

message 13: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth It's Kim Harrison, but her main character *is* named Rachel :-)

Lais Lindsay, if you haven't read them, I would highly recommend The Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey. She also penned another good read, Santa Olivia. The main character is a genetically modified wolf/human (if I recall correctly) who is a lesbian.

Lindsay Hi Lais,
I've read the Kushiel series (loved!) but have not read Santa Olivia. Will look into it - thanks for the rec!

message 16: by Shirl (new)

Shirl Watched it on Sunday and laughed so much my face hurt! Will tune in again and again!

Hey Felicia! Do you mean Kim Harrison perhaps? If so, I've heard great things about this series - can't wait to load it onto the Kindle for vacation reading this week! :)
