Don't you just love a press release that's short, sweet and to the point? This is, of course, just the first step of many. But Wednesday Letters fans take heart, a film is coming!
Glenn Beck's Mercury Radio Arts Options New York Times' Bestseller The Wednesday Letters and the Upcoming The Wedding Letters
(New York City) – Mercury Radio Arts, Glenn Beck's production company, has acquired film rights to Jason Wright's New York Times' bestselling novel, The Wednesday Letters and the upcoming sequel, The Wedding Letters. Beck has been a vocal supporter of the first novel since it was released in 2007.
Published by Shadow Mountain, The Wednesday Letters and the upcoming The Wedding Letters - scheduled to be released Sept. 27, 2011 - are both novels with powerful messages about forgiveness and unconditional love. The books also reconnect readers with the long lost art of the handwritten written letter.
Beck said: "Jason is a tremendous writer and The Wednesday Letters and the upcoming The Wedding Letters are deeply moving books that fit in perfectly with the type of content we are producing at Mercury."
Wright said. "Mercury is a wonderful home for authors looking to tell their stories across all screens. I am excited to work with Glenn's incredibly creative team to produce adaptations that tackle tough life choices and will challenge viewers to reconsider the limits of redemption and second chances."
