About this author

James Brush lives in Austin, Texas. He teaches English in a juvenile correctional facility, and was once a James Michener Fellow at the Texas Center for Writers. He published his first poetry collection, Birds Nobody Loves: A Book of Vultures & Grackles in 2012. His poetry and short prose can be found in various journals online and in print as well as on scraps of paper around the house. He blogs at Coyote Mercury where he also keeps a full list of publications. Despite the title of his book, he really does like vultures and grackles.
