This part of the state is known for its horse farms, so it's common to see miles and miles of white or black fencing on these vast horse estates. But the more rural areas are also known for these incredible rock walls that border each field. The craftsmanship is astounding; I would love to own a farmhouse with rock walls bordering our land -- it would be heaven.
My visit was in mid-June, right around the official start of summer. Wildflowers were blooming everywhere; I saw honeysuckle, thistle
