Alwi Alatas has already written 19 books, most of which were published in Indonesia. He started publish book in Malaysia at the beginning of 2010. His books are about history, adolescence, religion, and motivation; fiction and non-fiction. He became head of Forum Lingkar Pena (FLP) Malaysia from 2008 to 2010. At the moment, he is doing PhD at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
