“That's when you know for sure somebody loves you. They figure out what you need and they give it to you -- without you asking.”
― Adriana Trigiani, Very Valentine
― Adriana Trigiani, Very Valentine
“Mom, how do you know if the guy is the guy?”
You mean if he’ll be a good husband?” She pauses, then says “The ticket is for the man to love the woman more than she loves him.”
Shouldn’t it be equal?”
Mom cackles. “It can never be equal.”
But what if the woman loves the man more?”
A life of hell awaits her. As women, the deck is stacked against us because time is our enemy. We age, while men season. And trust me, there are plenty of women out there looking for a man, and they don’t mind staking a claim on somebody else’s husband, no matter how old, creaky, and deaf they are.”

I can so relate to these books I came over from another country with my parents as a child and I understand the old fashion european ways and the sentimentality that goes with it.
Brava valentine is by far my favorite book of yours maybe even my favorite book ever! Can't wait for the final ciao valentine!!!!!
Welcome to Good Reads, Adriana! I hope you get back to Books & Company in Dayton this year. Would love to see you again. (Although, I've been thinking about a trip to New York to see my cousins.)
I am so glad we connected on goodreads, it is a fun place to stop, and welcome. I wanted to let you know our silent auction is coming up in two weeks. I will post and send you pictures with your novel, Brava Valentina.I am so happy that you support book readers, and book clubs and love your fans, it shows.
Thanks again,
Susan at Carolina Book Stacks
