Hellbent by Cherie Priest
Hellbent (Cheshire Red Reports, #2)

To repeat what I said about BLOODSHOT, the first book in Priest's Cheshire Red series: I haven't had so much fun with an adult urban fantasy since Charlaine Harris's DEAD UNTIL DARK. HELLBENT is as delightful as its predecessor. Better yet, you can r...more

A Little Night Magic by Lucy March
A Little Night Magic

A wonderful, charming, funny book about magic, small towns, magic linoleum and friendship so well written it seems effortless, but of course requires the ultimate in writing skill. The perfect antidote to a wretched month.

Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
A wonderfully wry narrative with wicked villains and a thoroughly satisfying ending. A fine, fine YA ghost story.

The Fallen Blade by Jon Courtenay Grimwood
Vampires, assassins and Othello in alternate 15th century Venice. If your idea of heaven is a fantasy version of Sabatini, this is the book for you. Great stuff!
"I don't know if it's the worst sweater I've ever seen, but dang, it's certainly near the top...or bottom, depending on your perspective. ;-) "
