Annette Lyon was honored in 2007 as Utah's Best of State for fiction. Her fifth book, Spires of Stone, was a 2007 Whitney finalist. She graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in English. She figures she read Anne of Green Gables one too many times as a kid, because all of her daughters have red hair.
