<about><![CDATA[Husband, father, automotive machinist, draftsman, architect, USCG licensed captain, marine surveyor, adventurer, freelance writer ---a man with careers of varying success in each of these endeavors--- Doug and his wife Karen currently reside in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

As a contributing writer to West Coast sailing magazines, Doug Danielson is a recognized authority on boating in Southern California, Mexico and Central America. His mystery and horror short stories have appeared on the internet and in print anthologies in the United States and Britain.

During 2007 Doug was a consultant involved in finding and bringing four IACC America's Cup boats to Mexico for Vallarta Adventures and Cabo Adventures. One of these boats, AUS 31, coincidentally plays a bit-part in SHORE LOSER. Doug had no connection with this Vallarta Adventure project when he conceived the idea of writing SHORE LOSER several years ago. Funny how the world turns.
