About this author

James Glen Stovall (Jim Stovall) teaches journalism at the University of Tennessee. Before coming to UT in 2006, Stovall taught at Emory and Henry College (2003-2006) and the University of Alabama (1978-2003), where he is professor emeritus.

He is the author of Writing for the Mass Media, college text on writing now in its seventh edition. His most recently published works are The Writing Wright, a book of essays, quotations and ponderings on the writing life, and Kill the Quarterback, a mystery novel.

Thanks for befriending this mystery author! I hope you'll give my debut, A REAL BASKET CASE, a read. It was one of four mysteries nominated for the 2007 Best First Novel Agatha Award, named for Agatha Christie. The sequel, TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET, will be out in May, 09.
