For someone who is not much of a Jane-Austen-type story buff, I'm liking this one...much to my surprise.

I love this story! I love this story! Did I mention that I love this story? So unless something seriously unfair or wrong happens in this book, I'm giving it a top rating. Don't disappoint me now, author. :)

It wasn't as good as I'd hoped. My favorite is still Only Uni by Camy Tang. I just don't like the hard, cold, tough women portrayed in many stories.

I couldn't put this one down. I love an action/adventure tale with knights and castles and the whole nine yards. What a fabulous read! Posting a review now.

Posted my review, too. Great story, not so great writing, but still worth the read. Now I've started Daisy Chain by Mary DeMuth. Boy is this a compelling story! I love it so far...and the writing is awesome!

Some thoughts here. The subject matter in this book fascinates me as does the author's blunt way of dealing with it in the book--especially in dialogue. I love that. It's incredibly edgy. The head hopping is driving me crazy, but thankfully that seems to be mostly in one spot and isn't as frequent now. There are some good lessons in this book. I can feel the heroine's sense of helplessness and hopelessness. Wanda has done a great job conveying that feeling. I'm about halfway through the book now.

OMG, was it hilarious! I loved "Suspicious Minds". I'll be posting a review later. Anyone want to sign a petition with me insisting that Kregel publish the third book in the series???

My goal for this weekend is to get several books read. The first being Daniel's Den by Brandt Dodson. I'm just starting chapter 4 so I haven't gotten very far into it yet. I would love to start the book club book for ACFW as well since the discussion on the book is this week. That title is Suspicious Minds by Christy Barritt. Of course, there are a ton of other great books making my shelf sag, but I have limited time to do what I love, which is read!

Note* I planned to do tags of the titles but this program keeps putting commas between the words so the titles look wrong. So instead, I'll post the last name of the authors.
