I'm consolidating all the info about future projects here, in the hope that people will read it rather than keep asking me the same questions:
Current Project: a Sevenwaters book to follow Heir to Sevenwaters. Publication date, December 2010. I have a contract to write another Sevenwaters novel to follow this one.
Wildwood series: it is very likely I will write a third book in the series. The earliest it could be published would be late 2011.
Bridei series: currently on hold, though I have ...
The anthology Australian Legends of Fantasy, edited by Jack Dann and Jonathan Strahan, and including my Sevenwaters novella, 'Twixt Firelight and Water, will be published by HarperCollins Australia in July 2010.
The US paperback edition of Cybele's Secret will be published in spring 2011. I have no control over the delay between the hardback and paperback editions.
November 3 was the official publication date for the American and Australian editions of Heart's Blood. I've been getting some great feedback on the book already.
You'll find an interview with me about the book on Writer Unboxed. My regular monthly post, about constructing a novel from a fairy tale, was posted a couple of days later.
Visit the Daughter of the Forest page, under the Books heading, to see the lovely covers for L'Atalante's recent French edition. The novel has been divided into two books, so we get two covers, one featuring Sorcha and the swans, and one Sorcha and Finbar. The art work is by Benjamin Carre.
On Nov 21, you'll find Heart's Blood subjected to The Page 69 Test on this intriguing blog:
If you're checking this out after Nov 21, click on the link, and when you get there select Heart's Blood from the right hand column.

On my bedside table this month, two interesting novels by New Zealand writers, excellent women's fiction set in Australia, and an exciting YA fantasy due for release next year.
The 10pm Question by Kate DeGoldi
This looks fascinating. From the back cover: 'Frankie Parsons is twelve going on an old man: an apparently sensible, talented Year 8 with a drumbeat of worrying questions steadily gaining volume in his head.'
The Invisible Road by Elizabeth Knox
I had difficulty getting through...
Today is the official publication date for the American and Australian editions of Heart's Blood. I'm getting some great feedback on the book already.
An interview with me is up today on Writer Unboxed. Post a comment on the interview by Nov 8 and you could win a free copy of Heart's Blood. On Thursday November 5 my regular monthly post will be up on the same site, discussing the process for building a novel from a fairy tale.
