Honestly, I've never had writer's block. I am prone to the occasional bout of procrastination, but fear of not being able to afford to get my kids out of the house at college time drives me to work hard.(less)

"A great story, well written, with characters you just have to cheer for. Cannot wait to see what else this author writes."
Robinson Crusoe 2244 by E.J. Robinson
"An amazing story in its own.

I was skeptical like most of a sci-fi retelling of the classic, but this story brings a respectable shift to the storyline, making it a worthy novel, and not curtailing its fame. I can only hope for a sequel, so that w..." Read more of this review »

"I've read nearly everything Don Winslow has written and think he's one of the most innovative writers out there. The Cartel is an opus of a book and follow-up to his earlier novel, The Power of the Dog. This powerhouse book finds DEA agent Art Kel..." Read more of this review »

Kahlil Gibran
“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.”
Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

Jonathan Carroll
“The trouble with wars is that they all look alike to people who aren’t involved. Only the skin color of the dead is different.”
Jonathan Carroll, From the Teeth of Angels

Chuck Palahniuk
“The things you used to own, now they own you.”
Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club

Graham Greene
“It's a strange thing to discover and to believe that you are loved when you know that there is nothing in you for anybody but a parent or a God to love.”
Graham Greene, The End of the Affair

Nicole Krauss
“At the end, all that's left of you are your possessions. Perhaps that's why I've never been able to throw anything away. Perhaps that's why I hoarded the world: with the hope that when I died, the sum total of my things would suggest a life larger than the one I lived.”
Nicole Krauss, The History of Love

Jeannie Faulkner Barber Hi Robinson...what a cool name! Thanks for adding me as a friend. I'd love for you to visit my web site, jeanniebarber.com. I'm a novice writer so feel free to make any kind of suggestions, ideas or thoughts to correct it. I’m co-authoring a novel with Patty Wiseman, another friend on Goodreads. We’ve known each other for over 30 years. While you're there, please sign the guestbook, too! There’s also a link to our book you can click on…clairkelley@synthasite.com. This site is brand new and in the editing stage as is our story. Please visit it as well. We’re both very green, but we’ve met so many people on this site willing to reach out and offer advice or a guiding hand.
Blessings,
Jeannie
