"A cat is a responsibility after all. And feeding and keeping and caring about a stupid fat cat isn't much, isn't much in the entirety of what counts for being a person and the huge range of what people do,but it is something. It is something and it's something that's warm and that I still have."

Thanks for the add!! I've spoke with you on myspace before, I'm Iron Mary Kidd on there, I run the Dystopian Society book club. :) Your book is one of the BEST books I've read in quite some time. Will you be putting out anymore any time soon?
YAY! I'm HONORED to be your goodreads friend! I've never befriended an author of such an admirable text before. I've read a couple of books since finishing yours and I'm delighted (?) to say that I'm disappointed in them because I am desiring the "zing" your book gave me. Of course some of it was a little esoteric for me as I'm in my I'm-an-English-teacher-on-summer-break-please-give-me-some-guilty-pleasure-reading-that-I-can-absently-absorb-by-the-pool mode, but I see myself revisiting this book again when my brain is more fully functioning. Do you have others? Do you intend to write others? Do you have recommendations for me? I have 3 weeks until school starts and would love to fill my time with some good reads!
:)

PS I used to teach English in HULL, Massachusetts.
