Description:
One of the three short stories from the collection called "Leftover Shorts." This piece is based loosely on the legend surrounding the folk tune "MacPherson's Lament."
Set in the rural south, a small town speculates on whether or not a young gentleman named Billy Parson will be a great man or great criminal. According to their superstitious beliefs, he would be legendary whether for positive or negative reasons. Billy also struggles to come to terms with the local superstition surrounding his fate.

John wrote: "I just noticed you're reading American Gods. I read it awhile ago. I'd like to know what you think."I'm halfway through right now and my feelings are mixed on it. This is different from most of the other books I've read by Gaiman. I love the concept of immigrants bringing their gods to he New World and then forgetting them.
I'll post my review when I'm finished with the book.

Hi Amy, I just wanted to stop by and say thanks so much for befriending me here on GoodReads! I really liked this line from your blog: "Because to survive in the corporate world you really need a "metal" attitude." So, so, so true! My metal/punk ways have served me well in my corporate career(s). Plus, I totally agree with you that Megadeath is just awesome! *Throws up metal horns* See you around.
