C.M. Spivey is a speculative fiction writer, author of high fantasy FROM UNDER THE MOUNTAIN and the horror novella series, “The Web“. His enduring love of fantasy started young. Now, he explores the rules and ramifications of magic in his own works—and as a trans, panromantic asexual, he's committed to queering his favorite genres. In his spare time, he plans his next tattoo (there will always be a next tattoo) and watches too much Netflix. Anything left over is devoted to his tireless quest to make America read more. He lives in Portland, Oregon, with his darling husband Matt and adorable dog Jay.

I was a clumsy child. My ankles were constantly sprained, my knees frequently bruised. I felt like I was always bumping into things. Clumsy, yet careful–unlike my brothers, I never broke a bone and never needed stitches. I went bouldering with my husband, rock-climbing without a harness. We climbed 14-foot walls and when we got to the… Read more of this blog post »

An escape she would always have access to.

Haha it's okay, I've been slacking too! But you really should press on in Alice, it's worth it once she gets to Wonderland. :D

Johannah I'm sorry dear book worm friend... I hate to inform you I have been slacking on reading...

I am reading Alice in wonderland right now. I just read five pages on her jumping down a hole to chase a rabbit with a pocket watch.

I keep falling asleep at the same spot too... It's just sad. Alice may never get out of that hole...
