about this author
Cindy Procter-King fooled her parents into thinking she could read at the age of four (thank you, Dr. Seuss) and she's been into tomfoolery ever since. A self-professed introvert--not that anyone believes her--Cindy quickly learned that making people laugh helped her overcome her natural shyness, and by twelve she'd earned a reputation for creativity and mischief. Unfortunately, she also managed to get her entire grade seven class kicked out of school for an afternoon. Thankfully, she's calmed down some. Cindy credits Laura Ingalls Wilder, Red Skelton, and Carol Burnett for inspiring her love of books and comedy. Cindy took to writing in childhood, penning numerous short stories and poems before turning her hand to novels. Armed with ...more |

description:
Short Contemporary Romantic Comedy Novel. Nikki St. James is at the end of the rope she bought to kidnap her rat fiancé's best man. Determined to convince her fiancé to set a wedding date instead of spending his days sucking up to her rich father, Nikki fakes an affair with their best man, Alex Hart, and whisks Alex to secluded Lake Eden along with the zany trio of pets she can't bear to leave behind. Except...her fiancé doesn't rush to win her back. And Alex, a stick-in-the-mud history professor, clearly thinks she's off her rocker.
Alex is a victim of nose-to-the-grindstone-itis. Sure, he needs a break from his quest to achieve tenure at warp speed—but on his terms, not a wacky blonde's! Before long, however, he realizes Nikki isn’t the wild party girl his old college buddy described. She's cute and sweet and...well, soon Alex is stealing her away for love and forever and all she deserves... copyright June 2007 ISBN-13: 978-1-60272-982-7

description:
Short Contemporary Romantic Comedy Novel. Magee Sinclair has had it up to her sassy short hairdo with the financial difficulties a recent rash of blunders has caused her family's advertising agency. How will she prove she deserves the promotion her father has in mind for her when she keeps making silly mistakes?
New client Justin Kane's goal to expand his bike stores hinges on a distributorship deal with a bike manufacturer he needs to impress during a couples mountain biking weekend. He's supposed to bring his steady girl. But Justin's girlfriend dumps him, and he needs a woman to replace her. To masquerade as her. By tomorrow. Magee, an expert mountain biker, is the perfect choice.
Or so he thinks.
Major trouble for Magee, who isn't quite the expert she's claimed in this comedy of errors abound with fake identities, ex-lovers popping up out of nowhere, and a whole lot of door-slamming in the middle of the night.

"Totally loved this. It was like a slice of Desperate Housewives in print. An entertaining light women's fiction read that deals with serious issues with a quirky edge.

Hey, girl! I set this thing up and have ignored it ever since. Guess I'd better get things going with it.
I follow you on the loops!

Thanks for the invitation. My younger daughter is a big romance fan--I'll tell her about your books.
