[close] Sarah Mlynowski started writing books when she was three years old. Kind of. She would tell them and her mom would transcribe them. They were all about Princesses named Sarah. After learning to use her own pencil, she continued scribbling stories throughout elementary and high school, and studied English literature in college.

When she was twenty-four she published her first novel, MILKRUN. Since then she has written four novels in the Magic in Manhattan series (BRAS & BROOMSTICKS, FROGS & FRENCH KISSES, SPELLS & SLEEPING BAGS and PARTIES & POTIONS--available Dec 23 '08), four additional novels for adults (Fishbowl, As Seen On TV, Monkey Business and Me vs Me), and been featured in the short story collections, AMERICAN GIRLS ABOUT TOWN, SIXTEEN: STORIES ABOUT THAT SWEET AND BITTER BIRTHDAY, and 21 PROMS. Sarah also contributed a novella to the book FIREWORKS, and co-edited the USA Today bestselling charity chick-lit anthology GIRLS' NIGHT IN and GIRLS' NIGHT OUT. The novel that she co-wrote with awesome teen writers Lauren Myracle and E. Lockhart, HOW TO BE BAD, will be out on May 6, 2008. She is now writing a new stand-alone novel called Gimme a Call. [close]
