Description: Taken from my novel, Static-77, this is a description of the graff artist, Scarey's final masterpiece, five stories high and half a block long on the side of an abandoned warehouse. Fortunately, the whole book isn't this billowy; if it was I would be forced to release wild hyaenas into my own house to make me cut it out. Fancy-pants crap such as this is like guitar solos. I'm not so punk as to say they should be banned entirely, but no one wants to hear that 45 minute Led Zeppelin live jam, either.

What a rad book. I figured I'd re-read it, since I probably slept through it in high school. I was expecting it to be better than I remembered, but I wasn't expecting something this amazing. It's really funny.

There's some super rad stuff, and obviously Mr. Pynchon is far smarter than we are. The ending kind of disappointed in that in seemed like a non-sequitur. Obviously there is the inverse of the map and the fragmentation of the narrat-or/ive, but Byron ...more
