As a marriage and family therapist I wanted to write a self help memoir that would cover several common themes that clients came to me requesting help.

One common theme is the challenge to discover who they can be when they are free from the roles they learned in their family of origin and overcoming the pressures to please others.

I chose to leave my responsibilities behind and travel with a group of mental health professionals to England and Ireland to explore sacred and historical sites to discover how what we believe influences how we behave.

I discovered new strengths in my Self and returned to write Questing Marilyn: In Search Of My Holy Grail. I use the Holy Grail as the essence of the authentic Self. Readers face my challenges with me and discover ways to make decisions in their own lives. I've been told readers feel they are along on my personal adventure.

On my return I discovered a woman who had posed as my friend had romanced with my husband while I was away. Questing France: Deepening The Search For My Holy Grail follows my journey with confrontation, separation, reconciliation and a wonderful 25th wedding anniversary trip through France. Readers learn why people return to work on a marriage with a cheater and ways to help children through parental conflict.

Withing several months I was devastated to learn that my husband had returned to the marriage on false declarations of love. Questing Home: A Safe Place For My Holy Grail shares the process of confronting lies, surviving my abusive divorce and parenting my children as a solo mother. I expose the legal tricks he and his lawyer tried in their attempts to destroy me. Readers can learn ways that the law is flaunted by those who have power and money and discover ways to survive financial and psychological abuse. I share how I rebuild my life with stories of dating as a mature woman.

I am presently working on Questing Confidence: Managing My Holy Grail to share the ways life can be redirected after loss when we accept responsibility for the choices we make.

The Questing series is filled with my insights and knowledge from years of training and working as a marriage and family therapist. Many travel destinations are also part of my growth as I love to travel.
