Dom Testa is an award-winning author, speaker, and broadcaster. For more than twenty years he has captained the morning radio show on Denver's Mix100.

His Galahad series of books for young adults (and young-at-heart adults) has an all-new look! Tor is reissuing the adventures in a three-volume omnibus collection. The first volume, Leaving Earth, is available now!

Look for Volumes 2 & 3 in June and November of 2016, respectively.

Dom also writes for middle-grade students, under the pen name Buster Blank.

And if you're in the mood for some puzzling fun, check out all three of his Mindbender books. They're perfect for family gatherings, road trips, or your own quiet time.

For the final three books, it gets a little tricky. Tor used photos of characters that they felt could be random crew members - although I think I see Alexa and Taresh on the cover of Dark Zone.

The new Galahad Archives books (omnibus collections of all six books in three volumes) don't have characters on the covers. I've found that some people love having characters on the covers, while others don't like it. How about you?(less)

I often encourage writers to leave their current project for a while and go write something else, either another story or an article or a blog post. Maybe poetry or music. The point is to reset your brain. When you come back to your original story you might be able to look at it with a fresh set of eyes and neurons.(less)

I’ve read that scientists are working on a real cloak of invisibility, one that would allow you to simply disappear. I can save them a lot of time and trouble, because I’ve stumbled onto the secret:

Become a bell ringer for a charity during the holidays.

A friend of mine volunteers every year, standing outside a grocery store, wearing a Santa hat and ringing the bell. Once again this year I joine...

This was recommended by a friend, and I'm glad I took her up on it. Written about 40 years ago, it's a time travel story that includes your basic shadowy government agency, a love story woven throughout, and intricate detail.
