Morris E. Graham's Blog

December 31, 2014

Graham's Publishing House is now offering eBook conversion services. What that means is we take your finished Word DOC or PDF, and convert it to a format that you can upload to Amazon for sale. The first two customers that contact me will get their ebook converted for free. What this is not is an editing service. I put what you give me into eBook format for Kindle. If you have misspelled words, bad grammar, etc... I will not fix it. My business will move into the editing business later next year, but not yet.

Best regards, Morris

It has been a busy four months. I worked hard to produce the third edition of "Warzone: Nemesis" and responded to reviewers, and blew right past and spent another couple of months to produce the fourth edition. I recently developed a technique that allowed me to view the output of an eBook in a word processor, which allowed a much cleaner document than ever before of the eBook. I have tighter than ever quality control over my eBook products.

Best regards, Morris

November 14, 2014

11/14/14

My novel "Warzone: Nemesis" is now in its third edition and was published Nov 11. As always, I am grateful for the encouraging words of positive reviews. I learn more from the negative ones. In response to some things that were pointed out in some not-so-positive reviews, I have addressed some issues in my book and am excited that it is now better than ever. I want to thank all my reviewers, both positive and negative. The encouragement keeps me going, and the criticisms make me aspire to be better.

Best regards, Morris

April 14, 2014

Last year, before my second edition update - Warzone: Nemesis, I had sold books in the U.S, U.K. and Canada. Now that my second edition has been released, I have now had sales in Germany and Australia. This is an exciting year for me. Currently I am accepting auditions for an audiobook release.

Best regards,
Morris E. Graham

April 2, 2014

I have applied to ACX Audiobooks to have a reader apply to read my book for audiobook distribution. More details as they develope.

04/06/14 I solicited over 100 narrators to audition for the part and so far I have had about 40 responses and four auditions, with about 20 more promised next week. So far I was one strong candidate.

04/08/14 As of today I have had 9 auditions for my audiobook and another 20 or so are promising to read. At least four show definite talent and possibilities but one is standing out. One narrator in particular has seven points in common with my main character in real life, and a smooth voice to boot.

04/29/14 I have verbally committed to having voice actor Jeffrey S. Fellin produce my audiobook. He should be starting in about a week, when he finishing a previous commitment. The selection process was very hard, but Jeffrey is a 30 year veteran from the military, a helicopter pilot, and a past fencing coach. He was hard to pass up.

05/07/14 Looks like my choice of narrator is very busy. He has to clear some committed projects and then he'll start on my novel. Expected release date is second week of October.

Best regards,
Morris E. Graham

March 28, 2014

Well, the second edition of my debut novel is complete. I have it availaable on Kindle Direct Publishing, and by the first of next week the print version will also be available. I wish to thank everyone who contributed to the update process by virtue of telling me what needed to be done. I beleive I have addressed all of the concerns and more. I am going to take a break from writing for a while. I have pressing personal stuff I need to take care of. I also need to recharge my batteries and gain some fresh perspectives before I attack volume two of the triolgy.

October 19, 2013

I am locked down working on the second edition of my debut novel Warzone: Nemesis. After some reviews and feedback, I have decided to expand slightly and correct some chronology of Cowboy/Kahless' junior pilot years. Also I am correcting some minor mistakes pointed out, and attempting to add a little bit more "tell" than "show" in some places. Finally, and most importantly-I am adding a couple of chapters of the origin story of Kahless' dog Blaze.

01/24/14 Still moving forward on the second edition. Major rewriting is complete, now spending time adding more figurative language and improving the flavor. I will probably be ready for a test read sometime in February, and publishing it in later February.

Good Reads,
Morris E. Graham
