about this author

Although I'm Canadian by birth, I have lived in the U.S. since 1997 — in Arizona (Sedona), Hawaii and, now, New Mexico.

My novel, The MoonQuest, is a visionary fantasy set in a time where stories and storytelling have been outlawed and bards have been put to death.

The MoonQuest's theme links to another aspect of my work: working with groups and individuals to help them break through creative blocks and connect with the voice of their muse.

The Voice of the Muse is also the title of my book of writing inspiration, exercises and techniques, and of its companion 2-CD set of guided meditations for writers.

In effect, The Voice of the Muse — Answering the Call to Write and The MoonQuest — and ...more

The MoonQuest (Science Fiction & Fantasy)
1 chapters   —   updated Jul 20, 2007 07:42PM
description: In a land where fear rules and storytelling spells death, only one bard's imagination can end the tyranny... THE MOONQUEST is a "true fantasy" set in a time when stories are banned, storytellers banished and fact the only legal tender, a gripping and epic adventure rich with universal truth.

208847 LOL. Had a beard earlier in life. Shaved it off 16 years ago. This one sort of kicked in by itself in January. I only just got a bearded pic that was good enough to post.

208847 Tucson is great. I love Sabino Canyon!

I left Montreal in the early '80s. Was there last about 2 years ago.

For me, the greatest appeal of Albuquerque is the Sandias. In fact, I'm looking at a view of them right now out my window. (Trailhead across the street!)

1843156 Hi Mark David, Thank You for being my Friend!
I have been to Montreal, when I could speak French, back in the early 1960's, but living in Tucson for the last 35 years, I have lost it.
Do you find living in Albuquerque inspires your writing? I haven't been there in ashile, but there are parts that would me, if they are still population free!
