About this author

My new book is CUTE! A GUIDE TO ALL THINGS ADORABLE (2011). In addition to being a middle school teacher for 15 years, I am also the perpetrator of THE BIG BOOK OF BOY STUFF, which was Amazon.com's bestselling children's book for a whole day.

Along with my five sisters and 50 teen and 'tween girls, I co-authored THE BIG BOOK OF GIRL STUFF. I'm also responsible for BART'S KING-SIZED BOOK OF FUN, THE BIG BOOK OF GROSS STUFF and THE BIG BOOK OF SPY STUFF. Oh, and a slew of pocket guides, including THE POCKET GUIDE TO MAGIC, THE POCKET GUIDE TO MISCHIEF, THE POCKET GUIDE TO GAMES, and THE POCKET GUIDE TO BRILLIANCE.

Oh, and Oregon State University Press published the second edition of AN ARCHITECTURAL GUIDEBOOK TO PORTLAND. (It's medium-sized!)

Bart King Hi Gretchen!

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you liked the book! As you can guess, knowing that a reader enjoyed a book is the best news an author can get, and that was a REALLY fun book to write, plus I got to work on it with my sisters and a bunch of former students. This made the experience extra-excellent. :)

All the best,
Bart King
