First and foremost, I have to say that I love the storyline of Maleficent. Taking already told stories and tweaking them just a tad, while not new, has become something of a fad recently and I love it. It gives new depth and possibility to every story. In this case, the story of Sleeping Beauty really becomes the story of Maleficent.
