I’ve been looking into various solutions, but if the site goes down again, well, just know that it’ll come up again,...

After surviving reading House of Leaves, it seems that I can't say "no" to a Danielewski book. I remain cautiously optimistic about the book, despite the fact that it seems to be in a... poetry... sort of format, and that it's written from two differ...more

It's hard to rate this book. On one hand, it really is a fine piece of drawn out horror that slowly unfolds before the readers and the characters, but on the other hand, I don't know if I'll ever be able to reread it again, cover to cover.

I love Jane Lindskold with a fierce and firey love, born of a finally finding good writing after so many years of bad writing in the fantasy genre.

She writes good high-fantasy novels, but her "modern day" stuff is phenomenal.

To say this book starts out slow is a bit of an understatement. Mieville is very much in love with the city of New Crobuzon, and he desperately wants you to love it as much as he does. That said, this is one of the richest, most beautifully crafted s...more

Oookay. So apparently this book has been around for 10 years. And not once, in all of those long ten years, had anyone bothered to tell me "you should read this book!"

Why, I wonder? Did no one else read it? Were they uncertain I would like it? Were t...more

The second in the Artemis Fowl series.

While fun, it wasn't as strong as the first book. This book almost feels as if there were two different books that Colfer wanted to write, but instead, he crammed them together into one book.
