About this author

Peggy Strack writes popular fiction about challenges people face in the fast-paced and often daunting contemporary world. She is excited to launch her debut novel, "A Stop in the Park," the story of Michael and Jaime Stolis, a disillusioned married couple who yearn to escape the trap of the modern American dream. It has received three out of three, five star reviews from Readers Favorites and Kirkus Reviews says, "Strack writes with clear, thoughtful, and passionate prose, making for a tense and compulsively readable story of family redemption."
Peggy also hosts the award winning blog, "Kick Back Moments," for the Saratogian Newspaper. She is a speech-language pathologist living in Saratoga Springs, NY with her husband, Keith. Peggy has two...more

Hi Kick Back Friends,

I'm taking a bit of a break from posting. I am having my thyroid removed on Friday and will need a little time to rest and recover. Just so you know, a nodule was found on my thyroid during a routine physical examination. That led to an ultrasound which led to a biopsy, and suspicious cells were found.I was also told that my thyroid was not functioning properly, which is wh... Read more of this blog post »

" *spoilers*

Wow I love how Memoirs made me question reality. I have always been skeptical of how some people define reality as "something everyone can see and touch". Budo makes a good point saying that adults think imaginary friends are "imaginary/... " Read more of this review »

Beautiful language! I usually like a faster pace with more action/higher stakes in my novels, but "Rules of Civility" managed to tell a poignant story about common experiences (e.g., friendship, love, career) with intrigue and fascination. It was so...more

“Maybe dream chasing is like climbing a mountain. You know, finding the trail, stepping onto it. At first you're energetic and it's easy. Then you trip over a root, face a huge boulder, or a steep incline. So you stand up after the fall, find your way around the boulder, and trudge up the vertical. Eventually, you're on top of the mountain with an expansive view of the world." ~ Michael Stlis in "A Stop in the Park”

“There are thousands and thousands of people out there leading lives of quiet, screaming desperation, where they work long, hard hours at jobs they hate to enable them to buy things they don't need to impress people they don't like.”
Nigel Marsh

“I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naïve or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman.”
Anaïs Nin
