Me and my cousins would always try to "crack" the safe. We would ask Grandpa what was in it and he always said, "that is where I keep the body."
Later in life I found out that Grandpa ran a blind pig in downtown Detroit during Prohibition. Now I wonder if Grandpa was kidding or not.(less)

My favorite couple?

That is a tough question. It is akin to asking a parent which is their favorite child.

If I had to chose, I would say that Dee and Wally, from DANDELION MAN – THE FOUR LOVES, was and is my favorite. I reread that story over and over. Dee was such a delightful character to write, I love her and miss her dearly. But stories of that first blush of love are that way. They evoke memories of our own first love that are difficult to turn away from.

I would add that Katherine and Dixon, from THE INN AT HERON’S BAY, also rank at the top of my list for altogether different reasons. Dixon, though dying, does not think about his own bucket list but focuses his thoughts and strength in helping the love of his live in fulfilling things on her bucket list, things she had to put on hold when she consented to be his bride. It is a touching tribute. Katherine was a strong woman who looked at life through an artist’s eyes.

Drone (Mystery & Thrillers)

Description: “Vasili Grigoriy Konstantinov was, by any standard, a solitary man, a quiet man. In large part this was the main reason he had remained single, though if he was completely honest with himself there were other reasons. His employer saw fit to have him travel the world conducting business.” Vasili toiled in obscurity throughout his life though in truth he was the best in the world at what he did. What was it that made him take a simple ‘tweet’ and turn it into an international terrorist plot?
Dandelion Man - the four loves (Romance)
1 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:35PM
Description: Precious few individuals will marry their high school sweetheart and live happily ever after. This story is about the rest of us. It is about the four loves C. S. Lewis describes in his book by the same name. Dandelion Man is set in and around the city of Detroit during the late 60’s and early 70’s a time of the Age of Aquarius, Hair and free love. But don’t expect all that, this is the Eros side of love not the Venus side.
