About this author

Born and stuck in Ohio, Stephanie Lorée writes fantasy fiction and occasionally moonlights as a rock star. Her short stories have appeared in such places as Urban Fantasy Magazine, Penumbra eMag, and as tie-in fiction for the Pathfinder RPG from Paizo, Inc. In 2013, she was a finalist for the Writers of the Future award. With her editor hat on, Stephanie freelances for indie authors and small presses, and she's a longtime slush minion for Lightspeed and Nightmare magazines. A self-proclaimed super nerd, Stephanie loves gaming, technology, good sushi, and bad kung fu flicks. Her digital life is available for stalking at stephaniemloree.com.

William W. Purkey
“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”
William W. Purkey

Alice Munro
“The conversation of kisses. Subtle, engrossing, fearless, transforming.”
Alice Munro, Runaway

Anne Brontë
“It is better to arm and strengthen your hero, than to disarm and enfeeble your foe.”
Anne Brontë

Steve Wozniak
“If you love what you do and are willing to do what it takes, it's within your reach. And it'll be worth every minute you spend alone at night, thinking and thinking about what it is you want to design or build. It'll be worth it, I promise.”
Steve Wozniak

Phyllis McGinley
“A bit of trash now and then is good for the severest reader. It provides the necessary roughage in the literary diet.”
Phyllis McGinley
