Bob Craton, Journey to Light

“Madrére Sybille, an elder of the Sistéria, is speaking to twenty-four year old Sistére Graice:

Sybille – I won’t lecture you but twenty-four is still young. Age brings experience and . .

Graice – And wisdom? That’s just what old people say.”
Bob Craton, Journey to Light

“George is a goblin who looks like a young boy. He is explaining to his friend Lout, an ogre, that he’s really older than he seems - - -

“My people grow slowly and I’ve been around longer than you think. I’m very mature for my age. I have a doctorate degree from Oxford in Medieval Literature,” said George.

“Is Oxford really in this story?” asked Lout.

“I should have said Oxxphord.”

“That sounds better. I’m really impressed, George. With an education like that, you could get a great job.”

“Yeah, that’s how I ended up as a stable boy.”
Bob Craton, A Princess of Fae

“The Universe is an unsettlingly big place, a fact which for the sake of a quiet life most people tend to ignore. Many would happily move to somewhere rather smaller of their own devising, and this is what most beings in fact do.”
Douglas Adams, The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

“Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn't.”
Mark Twain, Following the Equator: A Journey Around the World

“A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.”

Bob Craton Amazing - even the information page on A Princess of Fae is funny (he says with all of the seriousness contained in the book.) (FYI, that means no seriousness at all.)
