Trinka Polite is a poet and author from the beautiful state of Georgia. She also enjoys a career as a licensed counselor with a M.A. in Humanistic Psychology. When Trinka is not working on her writing projects, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
After the Sixth Day tells the story of one spirit living in a world that it's trying to understand. At some point on the journey, a longing is awakened for another world that is both familiar and unknown. This story is uniquely told through poetry with sincere and powerful emotion. Trinka's "notes" reveal what we all soon realize; through interaction with the world, the spirit is tested, awakened and strengthened. ~~ http://www.politejourney.com
Just raise your hand if you're with me. You're there again searching for motivation to start a workout routine. I got bored with the gym and daily workouts slowly decreased. Set reminders on my smart phone. It didn't help because I'm smarte..."

“My mother said I broke her heart...but it was my integrity that was important. Is that so selfish? It sells for so little, but it's all we have left in this place. It is the very last inch of us...but within that inch we are free.”
V for Vendetta
“If there is one thing I can pass on from my humbling experiences in life, thus far, I will tell you this, the next time someone tells you "the absence of expectations is the absence of disappointment, do not listen. Have expectations. Keep them great. It'll be a very bumpy ride. You'll even get bruised, sometimes very badly. Sometimes, you'll come to an abrupt halt or even fall off your ride. But you'll grow. And if you do not grow, you do not live.”

“I think one of poetry’s functions is not to give us what we want… [T]he poet isn’t always of use to the tribe. The tribe thrives on the consensual. The tribe is pulling together to face the intruder who threatens it. Meanwhile, the poet is sitting by himself in the graveyard talking to a skull.” —Heather McHugh
“I am ashamed of my century, but I have to smile” —Frank O’Hara
