About this author

Few authors have shown such diversity as Travis Thrasher. From starting his career with sweet and moving love stories, Travis has navigated through various genres including suspense, adventure, and most recently supernatural thrillers. At the core of each of his stories lie flawed characters in search of redemption. He loves surprising his readers, not only with a different style of writing in each book but also with amazing twists in each story. The author of eighteen critically-acclaimed works of fiction, Travis lives with his wife and three daughters in a suburb of Chicago.

I immeadiately fell in love with Katniss. The stakes are high and there is real reason to care about her journey. I love the set-up of the Hunger Games. Even though I knew this was a bestseller going into it, the book lived up to the hype. Really enj...more

“What?" I ask. I don't get anything about this day. Everything is just off.
"Are you sure?"
"Am I sure where I live? Yeah. Steeple Drive."
"Your cabin is on this road?"
"Is it just me, or is everything I'm saying slightly freaking you out?”
Travis Thrasher, Solitary

“Was she always that friendly?" I joke.
"She saw Robert. At least I got that out of her."
"Maybe she buried him in the backyard."
"Stop."
"Did you smell it in there?"
"Yes."
"That wasn't a normal smell. That wasn't the sort of something's-gone-bad-in-the-garbage smell. That was the sort of Dahmer-next-door smell."
"Stop it."
"I'm serious," I say.
"It's probably just some dead animal."
"Oh, well, in that case, it's fine.”
Travis Thrasher, Solitary

“She ever marry?"
"No."
The no sounds like "not in a million years." Like Aunt Alice couldn't marry, like she has one arm and horns sticking out of her head and she talks in tongues. Or maybe has several tongues to talk with.”

Moriah My dad and I are really enjoying the Solitary Tales!! Just bought them on a whim with some of my graduation money and REALLY glad I did!
Great job! Particularly on dialogue and character development. Chris is literally one of the most believable and lovable characters I've seen in a while. :)
