I see it darker than The Solitary Tales with the setting in Chicago. Maybe--hopefully-these could even see the light of day next year perhaps? (less)

After watchingThe Helpthe other night, I found myself wanting to make a top ten list of my favorite Thomas Newman soundtracks. I probably own at least forty scores by him, and there are lots more out there. I think he’s not only an incredible talent but a musical genius. I love how he excels in a variety of genres. Just look at the upcoming films he is scoring:Spectre,The Good DinosaurandBridge...

Love unreliable narrators. Amazing thing is this book really picked up in the MIDDLE, something many novels never do. The much-talked about ending didn't bother me--felt it fizzled out a bit. But still a remarkable work about really awful people.

" I have it planned out in my mind. Another four books. This time in college.

Poor Chris.

" That's a great review, John!! Thanks so much. Appreciate you checking out these books and so glad you liked them. "

“She ever marry?"
"No."
The no sounds like "not in a million years." Like Aunt Alice couldn't marry, like she has one arm and horns sticking out of her head and she talks in tongues. Or maybe has several tongues to talk with.”

“Sometimes you can lock the doors and close the blinds, but the monsters are still there inside your house, sleeping and breathing and just waiting to wake up and terrorize you all over again.”

Moriah My dad and I are really enjoying the Solitary Tales!! Just bought them on a whim with some of my graduation money and REALLY glad I did!
Great job! Particularly on dialogue and character development. Chris is literally one of the most believable and lovable characters I've seen in a while. :)
