Aer-ki Jyr is an Amazon Top 100 Scifi Author (highest #48) due to his independently published STAR FORCE series, a long Space Opera serial built on 10-chapter novella-length episodes. Jyr also has another Space Opera series beginning with a novel called 'Apex' which is published by HarperCollins.

Once finished with all 100 episodes it will complete the 'Origin Series' that will essentially be the backstory to a new science fiction franchise.
I'm also working on ideas for Apex 2 and will start writing out chapters sometime in the coming year, but will have to work it in around Star Force.(less)

Writing Star Force is taking priority and the Origin Series will run through April 2016. When will I get Apex 2 finished...I don't know. I may wait until April then spend 6 weeks in a row and knock it off. Doubling up with Star Force is tricky, so I'm leaving it up in the air for now.
Apex 2 will be coming eventually, but it's going to take a while. I write fast, but am on a fixed schedule with Star Force. 30,000 words every 2 weeks. I can fit some Apex in there, but I don't want to force it and lose my vibe, so I'm not committing myself to a firm date for Apex 2 and just seeing what happens day to day. (less)

Just heard this question asked by a stupid Fox News anchor, so I thought I'd lay out the truth for those who hadn't thought it through. The answer is 'no' for many reasons.

First off, blacks and whites aren't real...at least no more than blondes, brunettes, and red heads. Your race is Human, and your skin color... Read more of this blog post »
