About this author

Gary Devore is an archaeologist and author who specializes in the ancient Greek and Roman world. He has written a novel, Pantheon and a Guidebook to Rome, Walking Tours of Ancient Rome. Currently he is working on a murder mystery set on Hadrian's Wall in the third century. Gary has been a lecturer at Stanford University and the University of California at Santa Cruz, and has directed archaeological projects in Italy and the UK.

He is NOT the Hollywood screenwriter who died in 1997.
