Joseph Robinette "Joe" Biden, Jr. is the forty-seventh and current Vice President of the United States. During his tenure in the U.S. Senate as the senior Senator from Delaware, Biden served for the sixth-longest period among current senators (fourth among Democrats) and was Delaware's longest-serving senator. He was the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the 110th Congress. Biden served in that position in the past, and he also served as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
