Before quitting his job in publishing to write full time, Will Hill worked as a bartender, a bookseller and a door-to-door charity worker. He grew up in the north-east of England, is scared of spiders, and is a big fan of cats. The first adult author he ever read was Stephen King, beginning a lifelong love affair with horror that will surprise no-one who has read his work.

Will poured a lifetime of reading and writing horror into Department 19, the bestselling series that now encompasses novels, ebook novellas, short stories, and an ever-increasing range of videos and animations.
